The leaves have started changing colors and falling from the trees. It’s so pretty, and one of my favorite times of year. We’ve been lovin’ the cool breeze blowing through our windows every afternoon for the last few days.
Today, I’m sharing a great recipe for your holiday celebrations using delicious fall apples. YUM! (Or, you could make this pie now with a big heaping scoop of vanilla ice cream. You know, as a “trial” for your holiday baking.)

- 1 refrigerated unbaked pie crust
- 5 cups chopped apples
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter, chopped
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- ½ cup caramel dip
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup flour
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup oats
- ¼ cup butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place pie dough in pie plate and flute edges.
- In a large bowl, combine apples, ½ cup sugar, 2 tablespoons butter, 3 tablespoons flour, and 1 tablespoon cinnamon. Toss to completely coat apples.
- Spread apple mixture over pie crust.
- Drizzle caramel dip over apples.
- In a medium bowl, combine 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ½ cup flour, brown sugar, and oats. Cut in ¼ cup butter with a pastry blender until coarse crumbs form.

- Cool at least 10 minutes before serving.
